Yesterday's Washout

Well,

This was not a very productive day at all. The weather outside is cold and rainy, and usually this is the perfect weather for me to be creative. Especially if it's going to be a slow ballad.

But this day, I've got nothing and really didn't feel like doing much anyways. I know it happens to the best of us but not me ;-) LOL!

Anyways,

I guess I'll hit it again over the weekend because this weather is going to continue for the next few days. I'll be posting that fight up probably Sunday night so look for it.

I've Been Super Busy

Hey Guys,

I know it's been a long while since I've been here but I've been super busy with project after project and just life in general. I hope I haven't lost some of you over the last few months. If so, I completely understand.

Anyways, I've been working in the studio on some new material as well as doing some remixing of some of my older music as well. Now I'm at the point of trying to figure out what to keep and what to trash for my upcoming CD / MP3 uploads.

I've also been working on a combined project with YouTube and a MMA game that I've been playing in what little spare time I have. I'll be posting some of those videos here reall soon. They are a lot of fun and I think your going to enjoy seeing them.

They are only a few minutes long so be looking out for those.

It's no laughing matter and I feel you pain if you have.

In fact I recently fell for one of those Spam Emails that we all typically get.

You know the ones? "Need money now?" "Get your payday loan here right now in as little as an hour!"

The kicker is, I know better then to go this route, but hey I was desperate and I figured, well it's worth a try the worst that could happen is they would say no.

So I filled out the form and hit submit and low and behold I was instantly approved for $1000.00…."Whoo Hooo!" Keep in mind I only wanted like $200.00 because I could comfortably pay that back even with the ridiculously high interest rate.

Now, here's where it get's fun ;-)…..

I'm now getting well over 50 phone calls a day starting at 5am my time, which is PST until 9pm at night. "So the calls are clearly coming from out of state.

But they all have the same message...

I have been "approved" for a loan. But they ask me all the same information like, when do you get paid next are you employed, how much do you make each payday, yada yada.

Now after the first 10 calls I got denied every single time, but I did get offered a $5000.00 loan if I paid a $250 dollar service fee upfront first???

If I had $250….I wouldn't be needing a loan O.M.G. LOL!!! So wait it get's even better :-)

After the first few days of this nonsense I started getting really irritated so I started having a little fun with these folks.

"Oh by the way, I can usually barely understand these people because their english is really bad, so that's kinda where I mess with some of them" ;-)

I can handle an accent, but when I "really" can't understand you and you get mad at me and you are calling "ME" in my country uuh well you know LOL!!!

The other part of this is, I have yet to hear from anybody other then this "Specific Nationality" contact me about a loan. So what does that tell ya?

Oh wait I'm getting one of their calls now, I'll tell you about it in the next post stay tuned cause your really going to like this series ;-) No Joke !

So I guess I'm officially back in the studio again, kinda......You see I have been having some major technical issues with my PC.

I built this tower back in like 98 specifically for all my music stuff, but since then, I've used the computer for more then just music.

I started using it for everything because it wasn't the main computer in the house being used. My wife or kids were always on the house computer so I started loading stuff on my music computer. Since then I have injured my back severely and can know longer work as a plumber. "And yes I was using the same computer for my plumbing company too....."

I know shame on me, but in any case, I'm dusting off all the old equipment and beginning to record again. Only problem is now my PC dosen't play my music software correctly anymore since I was dumb enough to upgrade to Vista....Computer hasn't been the same since.

So now I have to completely scrub the drive and re install a fresh copy of win 98 and then load all my music software again...Thus loosing all my music tracks and bookmarks, unless I want to copy and paste and make backup copies of everything. Gonna be a fun evening, but at least the blue screen didn't completely wipe out my whole computer like it has been prone to do.

I remember the good old days of just recording into the tracking machine and just doing overdubs that way, but computers allow you to cut and paste and loop specific tracks, So I guess I gotta get this fixed until I can figure out how to do all this on my Mac since it's supposed to be way better for music and video, but man it's such a learning curve going from PC to Mac.

Once I get all this figured out, I'll start putting some of my music up on the blog for listening and some feed back so stay tuned as I get this all worked out. ;-)

P.S. I've had this cheesy blog for a while and will most likely get an official website like everyone else, but hey I'm a musician and investor not a web designer, and blogger makes it so easy for anyone to put up a Blog so this is my official web site for now........Man Technology LOL!!!
